Event Weekends
For an exciting weekend in Hawke's Bay, choose one of the many popular events hosted by the region.

Wine Harvest:
The Wine Harvest Festival celebrates the wine industry with live entertainment and food at most of the major wineries. Church Road Winery's "Jazz in the Park" is legendary, as is the wine auction and a variety of day and night time festivities. Held the first weekend in February.

Mission Estate Concert:
Held on the slopes of the Mission vineyard, in a natural amphitheatre, the concert is often a sell-out to 20,000 people and more. Artists such as Rod Stewart and The Beach Boys have made this open air picnic, a fun, unique and memorable experience. Held on the 2nd or last weekend in February. Website: www.missionconcert.co.nz.

Art Deco Weekend:
This occasion brings Napier and Hastings to life with what is described as "A Not Too Serious Event". There is a variety of open air jazz bands playing, dinners, vintage cars and people dressed in 1930's costumes and outfits, throughout the weekend. There are many outstanding events such as the Art Deco Ball, Progressive Dinner, or the free Gatsby picnic on Sunday, just to mention a few. Napier's architectural heritage is a result of the 1931 devastating earthquake and fire. This weekend is always the 3rd weekend in February. Website: www.artdeconapier.com.

Children
Have a great day visiting the National Aquarium of N.Z, Marineland, or Salty Rock indoor climbing wall.

Just 20 minutes from Napier is the city of Hastings, where you can have fun at Splash Planet, or climb Te Mata Peak and enjoy the fantastic panorama of Hawke's Bay.
